Airbrushing blanks

Has anyone airbrushed blanks before? I was thinking of using a air brush from like harbor freight or a craft store but I want to be sure it will stick without chipping. Re: Airbrushing blanks

That would have everything to do with the prep and paint, and nothing to do with the airbrush.

Yes, but would it hold up to the elements (ie chipping) or would you use a thin cover of clearcoat. Re: Airbrushing blanks

Tom answered your question already. If your prep is done properly ie. If you sand it well etc. Then yes it will be fine. Clear coat will chip and peel just as much as anything else if your substrate isnt prepped properly. Re: Airbrushing blanks

Right, the airbrush has nothing to do with it. The final finish and how well it holds up depends on blank prep and the type of paint you chose to use. Do a search in the forum archives for advice on paint types that builders appear to have the most success with.
