Nikki bamboo rod

I'm currently replacing a snake guide on an old fly rod. It has a black lacquer finish with a single decal near the butt of the blank. The decal depicts 2 bamboo canes with the word NIKKI on it. It's obviously pretty old was just curious about it's origin. The owner got it at a garage sale years ago. Anyone know about this brand?
Thanks,
Frank

Post war rod brought back by G.I's from every PX around. Quality is suspect. They look good hanging on a wall.

Thanks Gary, that sounds about right. Pretty ornamental in appearance. As a matter of fact, that's what my client wants to do, as he is not an angler!

If the finish is still pretty solid it should respond well to some auto wax.
