Over wrap thread size

I am going to put down a solid color for every guide. Then on top of that I am going to place my threads to secure the guides. Do I use different size thread to do this or will A work for both under and over lay?

Thanks!

If you seal the A underwrap with CP or a thin coat of epoxy, then you can easily use A for the overwrap as well. If you go thread on thread with no CP or epoxy, then over-wrapping is easier with one size larger overwrap thread.

Underwrap should be size A packed close and tight with a larger size B or C over the A thread.

Hello Andrew.

If you want to use A over A you must first coat the under wrap, let it dry, then put on the over wrap.

I like to coat the base with either permagloss or a like product It is hard and wrapping over easier then epoxy finish 2 - 3 coats 20 min apart
