Info on rotating guides

Hello All, Do any of you have any info on something I just caught wind of. When placing guides on rod you start off with the first guide being on top of rod and you progressily rotate guides so as when you get to tip top it is 180 degrees opposite of reel seat. Much like the look of a spinning rod tip top. I don't know the correct name for this style of rod building
Please advise
