Bumper sticker on a gaff?

I'm trying my hand at a gaff, and I want to put mahi mahi colors on one section - not a fish decal but the flank colors. I ordered a RodSkinz but am not happy with it. It's too small for the blank and too muted, mostly a very dark blue.
I found on Zazzle a really bright, mostly yellow vinyl bumper sticker that's almost exactly what I imagined. Any reason this wouldn't work, as long as I coat it well with finish? Any trouble with the finish adhering? Re: Bumper sticker on a gaff?

it should work if you don't use anything like PG or LS as they are both xylene based urethane finishes the regular epoxy finishes should work just fine or the thread master water base urethane done in a couple of coats to achieve a deep finish The best day to be alive is always tomorrow !! Think out side the box when all else fails !!! Wi. Re: Bumper sticker on a gaff?

Always a good idea to test before applying to final product. Re: Bumper sticker on a gaff?

Hey Kevin.
I recently applied a vinyl peel off sticker to a blank and finished it with 3 coats of Diamond II with excellent results. Good luck! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
