Searching for fly rod blank

My brother wants me to build him a fly rod. A fiberglass, 7', 5wt, preferably two piece. I can't seem to find one. Anybody know a source?

CTS Quartz, contact Herb, look over on board sponsors for CTS Rod Blanks. I currently have a 705-3 on order from them.
The CTS Glass is Unidirectional S2 Glass, typically a very smooth loading blank, I've build a gang of them for customers and I fish them myself.

Second choice, Mike McFarland, your not going to see blank offerings on his site, but he can roll just about anything.
Mike has both E Glass (typically deeper flexing and slow) and S2 Glass, both of which are very nice casting blanks.

Both can offer a tip over butt connection or spigot style ferrule.

Both of these are higher end choices, but well worth the money spent.

Seeker makes some 2 piece S glass trout rods that length that may make a decent fly rod and they won't break the blank.

The American Tackle AMF7-4 is a graphite blank.

There are a ton of choices in fiberglass these days. What is your brother's budget? I've seen fiberglass fly blanks from $29 through $350, and various actions and feel. Most fiberglass blanks it seems come as 3-piece offerings, especially the $29-$100 blanks, though I've seen 2-piece blanks from the higher priced companies. and i think the 2-piece Seeker S glass blanks are spinning blanks, but hey, they might work.

ask your brother. he may want a FLY fly blank, he may want a name brand fly rod made from a fly blank like Orvis. he may be interested in trying a spinning blank as a fly rod. or he could be happy with a $29 imported blank for messing around with flies and not having to care about, well, care! it seems though that generally, i've seen more 5wt fiberglass fly blanks in the 8 foot length. you may want to turn to a steffen blank if a 7' 5wt is difficult to find. I think they'll make what you want. from what i read, you can't go wrong with Steffen.
