Wire line spiral wrap

I'm going to be having a 6'6'' E glass fishing rod wrapped for wireline jigging striped bass, in the North East. Is having it spiral wrapped while using wire (60lb) out of the question? If not, can anyone recommend a size 16 roller tip for this rod? Thank you very much!

All American guides to the left, is the only spiral wrap roller tip top I'm aware of.

I would guess that in my opinion ,I would NOT want a wire line spiral wrapped. But, it is your choice.

Be safe

You need wire line safe guides and the straightest line path you can create. Wire line will bend, of course, but I'd still opt for whatever method gives you the straightest possible line path.

Thank you for the responses! I had not seen any wire line rods spiral wrapped and it seems that there is a good reason why, so I'll stick with the standard method of guide placement.

Fuji Silicon Nitride guides have held up perfect on Great Lakes wireline diver rods in spiral wraps. Use a simple spiral, load the rod to make sure the wire can't touch the blank and you are good to go. Much lighter than rollers and makes for a much better handling rod as well. No reason that I have seen not to spiral a rod simply due to the wire line. You just have to make sure the line never contacts the blank, or it will be a two piece.

I built a pair of wire line rods for my own boat, one spiral wrapped and the other not. I did this for demo purposes. Hands down, the preferred rod is the spiral wrapped rod. It has Fuji SiN guides on it and they've held up perfectly.
