I read somewhere to refit the dream reamers with new emery you use rod bond, is it the 10 minute of the longer drying type, is there an alternative. I got some 60 grit to refit them.
Thanks Bob Re: Reamers

The Quick Bond faster setting variety is fine. It has enough pot life to allow you to do what you need to do but also set and have you using the reamer within a day, or less.

Contact cement would be best if you are applying sandpaper. Rod Bond for loose grit.

Never use epoxy for attaching the sand paper strip to the reamer blank. Use contact cement. The frictional heat generated when using the reamer under power will break down the epoxy bond, but not contact cement.

Had good luck with contact cement and sand paper. But, make certain sandpaper barber poles/ candy cane stripes on right! No mulligans or begin agains with contact cement. Re: Reamers

Thanks for the information, always appreciate the help. I use the grit reamers before and out of all the rods I did I only gouged one with a piece of grit stuck in the cork, and that's one to many. I got some 60 grit emery 1" wide and tore it down the middle and it works fine. I will use the contact cement for this.
