Looking for suggestions for a 10 foot, 7 weight, 4 piece fly rod blank or Atlantic salmon and striped bass fishing here in Nova Scotia. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Overhead casting, nymph, spey, or switch? At 10'6" RBMeiser has a nice 7/8 switch blank at a reasonable price. CTS can make anything you want, and they have great blanks.

Pac Bay Quickline. There are others, but you didn't mention your price point.

Jeff
The perfect blank for that is the CTS Affinity-X 10'0", #7, 4pc.
I bought both the #7 and #8. A friend wanted the #7 for exactly what you want.
I built the #8. Great rod but too much rod for what you want.
Regards
Herb
Distrib. CTS Rod Blanks.
PS - I assume you are looking for a single handed rod. If 2 handed you need 11'0"

Mudhole MHX fly blanks are very nice and not too expensive. My experience flogging a PacBay Quickline 9' 7wt on big stillwater and now in Texas saltwater chasing Specks and Redfish has made me a big fan. I have top name similar rods for comparison and the Quickline has surprised me how nice it casts heavy flies often blindcasting in windy conditions. Hopefully the 10' is as good. Maybe not the ultimate fastest action high line speed distance cannon but a very good fishing tool and a bargain.
