Checkerboard cork rings

I've been asked to build a pair of grips using a few checkerboard trim rings. It's not usually my type of thing, so I really hate to spend the cash on cork cutting jigs and the little saw. Does anyone know of a source for pre-fabbed checkerboard rings? I've seen them in the past, but can't find them now.

Jay

I remember seeing them as well, but cannot for the life of me remember where.

If you cannot find a source for rings only, try Custom Fly Grips, LLC. They could most probably build the grips to your specifications. Frankly, cutting and gluing the ring wedges is the easy part. Aligning and gluing the rings up, spot on perfect, is a bit of a pain.
