Clear Coat Spray

Can anybody recommend a glossy clear coat type of aerosol spray to spruce up a blank before beginning the assembly? I've got a 30-yr old Fenwick Rawhide blank in mint condition sorely in need of some new shiny-ness.

Might try automotive clear coat or permagloss applied with a sponge if you have stripped off the guides

I have had good success with wiping on a couple of nice thin coats of Minwax fast drying, but really not "fast drying", polyurethane. The blank should be cleaned really well and I just wipe it on with a piece of old t shirt. Works really well for gloss, creates a really thin but durable finish, and I have never had one returned for finish lift.

Don, are there special drying or curing steps necessary for creating a durable coating? Like placed in a warm space for x number of days?
