Be careful. Some red flags on this one, about 24 to be exact.

Looks like a scam to me. If you decide to follow up demand payment for all parts up front

So they are sending you the blanks and components and your just wrapping them? I'm sure they would want their components and blanks used.

set up a separate checking account just for that order. Have them deposit $ into your account. then take it from there..... Works well with legit out of country orders.......

x2. Don't let them have access to your personal accounts.

Rex,
If and when you do the order - don't forget customs. In some countries, customs charges could be as much as the price of the item.

Be safe

By the way,
you might send the inquiry to some of the Australian builders on the forum. They are much much closer to Fuji, than any place in the US.

I totally agree with TOM on this

the one thing you should ask your self with all the production rods on the market available and would be easily shipped there WHY customs and only 24 of each did the request have any specifications for the type of rod wanted or was it just general request for rods ???

The best day to be alive is always tomorrow !!
Think out side the box when all else fails !!!

Another option is get all of their contact info then contact a fishing Lodge in Fiji. I believe there are a couple in Viti Levu. Ask them if they know the person or company in question. Even if it is legit they might know more then the "firm" is telling you.
I have to agree with Tom. It does sound sketchy. Plenty of rod builders in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia they could contact. As someone said earlier... make sure they don't get access to your personal info. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure Tom can do math. His point is 24 rods is a strange request. Why not 25 of each?

Michael,
Actually, 24 rods is a very common request. 24 is a very common item when purchasing case lots of items. Often, there are price breaks when a buyer buys in case lots of 12 or 24 at a time.

Take care

I buy beer in 12 and 24 cases. Haven't bought rods like that, but thanks for clarification. Take care.
