Looking to get started

Hey Guys I am new here. I am completely new to rod building and have watched just about every video I can find on it (at least it seems like it).

I am ready to take the plunge into rod building and was looking for advice on starting gear. I am willing to invest in gear that will enhance my success and quality. I know that spending a fortune on gear will never replace experience but I also know it can help tremendously. Early on I think I will just be making a rods for myself and family but I would like to expand it out into a revenue stream Something I might be able to carry into retirement (in 30 years lol).

Focus on trolling rods will likely be my starting point as its a relative open market here in Maine and the one I have the most experience in.

I look forward to reading your responses and thanks for the help.

PS. I am fully aware of the tax implications and such.

Wayne

At Flex Coat we make equipment for the novice all the way up to OEM manufacturers. All made by hand here in the USA. Never sacrifice on quality.

Our Small Business StartUp kit is a great way to start. It allows you to crawl before you walk and walk before you run. It is upgradeable and comes with all you need to get started, save for the blanks, cork, and components.

Give us a call or check out one of our dealers listed to the left on this page.
