Low frame double foot guides

Who offers the smallest ceramic ring double foot guides available?

The lowest that come to mind are discontinued. They are Fuji DHG's. They were a saltwater guide with a fairly heavy chrome frame and an aluminum oxide ring set in a nylon shock ring. They basically sat with the bottom of the OD of the ring a few centimeters off the blank. I have used them as a bumper guide on spiral wrapped builds. As for anything contemporary, I don't have the foggiest idea who makes the lowest frame guides. I would imagine one could bend the frame and feet out to bring the ring closer to the blank.

Both Fuji KW and Kigan ZD come in a size 5.0. The 5.0 Fuji only come in a titanium frame. Not sure about Seaguide, cannot get on their site at the moment.

Thanks for the responses guys I had thought of bending the legs, but was afraid it might compromise ring to frame integrity. Purpose is indeed for a bumper guide. Not sure a single foot wrapped extra securely might not be strong enough. 7ft. heavy mag bass rated for 2 oz., 25lb. line.

On the original article, bending the frame and legs to bring the ring down to the blank, is mentioned as the thing to do.

The original article on the simple spiral in RodMaker magazine. It talked about bumper guide modification.

Spencer, if you can provide me with the issue info I'll order it from Tom. Don't mean to be a pain. I have the guides CD, but don't see it there. I will check again. Thanks, Lynn
