Guide Accent Wrap

How does everyone feel or have you had an issues with an accent wrap (5 or 6 wraps) up the foot closest to the eye. Re: Guide Accent Wrap

Accent wraps, trim bands, inlaid turns, etc. can all be vexing from time to time regardless of their location. The keys to success are planning and finding a technique you can execute consistently well. Re: Guide Accent Wrap

The thread wraps nearest the guide leg/ring are the ones that most/best secure the guide to the blank. If the accent wrap in that area is equally snug then it shouldn't be a problem. If it's a loose affair, even with epoxy over the top you might find the guide prone to loosening side to side over a few seasons. Maybe.
