John, what type of blanks are you looking for? Hole hopping for panfish? or deep water gamefish?

oh that is a tough one. I know mud hole is getting in their new longer power noodle blanks any day now but the longest for that is 39". If you do find a good one that long please post here, thanks Buzz

Since casting is not an issue why not buy an ordinary ultra-light fiberglass blank and cut the butt back to 50"? Janns Netcraft, Mud Hole, and many other suppliers offer 5, 6, and 7 foot UL fiberglass blanks.

John,
A very simple thing to do, is to purchase an ice rod blank in the action and power that you wish to have. Then, grab an old blank and trim it at the point where the glass blank can be glued in for a nice tight fit with a 2 inch overlap. Then, take the longer rod and chop it to give you the final length that you want. The key thing about an ice rod blank in the ultra light, super flimsy tip is the front 12-18 inches of blank to act as a bite antenna. The rest of the blank, just gets the tip out to the length that you wish to have the tip.

Good luck
