Has anybody ever use fly guides on a spiral jigging rod for trout or salmon? John Re: spiral jigging rod question

I was asking about the particular type guides he plans to use. You can spiral wrap with most any type guide. Snake guides might reduce weight by a tiny bit but on that type rod it may not be the best choice.

Ohhhhh I see, my bad. Neither have I seen a spiral guide system made of snakies. Maybe OP was talking about all-purpose single foot runners? They are often called fly guides. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/14/2016 09:02AM by Frank Gyan. Re: spiral jigging rod question

Minima F guides would work as a light option. Ceramic single foot fly guides would also be fine but a little heavier. The single foot wire fly guides would be the lightest option but I think would be the hardest on your line.
