On the tackle tour ultralight forum they mention fishing rods with graphite solid tips, from Japan. I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for solid tip graphite rod blanks. Also has anyone here had any experience building or fishing this type of rod blank?
Thanks Re: solid tip graphite spinning rod blanks?

You may order some from Matagi.
I build some TR69 and TR74 for RockFishing and use them for Perch with light lure (up to 1/8oz). ________________________________________ @+ Eric [www.emfishing.fr] Re: solid tip graphite spinning rod blanks?

Solid blanks are more supple than conventional tublar ones, therefore make it easier for the fish to enhale the hook without getting spooked. In return their sensitivity is usually not that great.
