Hey guys Just passed 800 custom builds. Not bad for 4 years and the orders keep coming. Also found couple of tricks that helps with those pesky ncp issues
Took apart an old laser printer bought at an @#$%& for a couple of bucks. Found a rod magnet inside a tube and it's associated steel bar these two stick together well. So I mounted them horizontally on two timber batons with slots routered in. One above the other. Now I feed the ncp between the two and don't get the ncp popping off the reel. Used some springs and spacers for pretension. Also I used the spring from an old tape measure to keep thread tension when back winding. I fixed the frame of the tape measure to vertically mounted bracket then removed the old steel tape and tied the inner of an old guide to the spring and feed the thread thru the guide. Under binding tension the spring extends a bit so that if I need to back wind the spring pulls the thread down and keeps the tension. Been a big timesaver Happy happy for the holidays Re: Custom builds

Congrats on your business. But I have to admit, I really don't know what the heck you're talking about with the printer, etc. Could just be me. Re: Custom builds

Not very clear about the configuration of your set up. Pictures would help. Re: Custom builds
