I have a dark green fresh water blank I want to marble on the base.
The blank is the perfect color for the base of the marbeling and compliments the colors I will be marbeling. I need to know if I need to put down a base wrap to marble on or if I can marble directly on the blank (preferred). Any input is appreciated. Thank you, Tom Re: Marbeling Question !

Tom marble right on the blank. I assume you are talking about marbling pigment in rod finish correct? If you are magic marbling put down a white primer coat first to make the magic marble colors stand out more.

If you want the rod colour to show through your marbling, then lay down a layer of clear rod finish before you add the marbling colours. Lay down clear, while still wet, start your marbling. Chris Richer Iroquois ON Re: Marbeling Question !

You have multiple colors with Magic Marble Paint depending on base color. You can use the same paint for the top coat on mad-swirls but use different basecoats and have two completely different looking mad-swirls on top. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
