Has anyone used rubber bands as trims? If so, how does it hold up? Thanks!

WHY ? Rubber will deteriorate with exposure to sun and elements, besides they are not attractive!

Epoxy won't adhere to them, which opens up additional difficulties down the road.

Thanks! And that's why I asked first before I tried it! Much appreciated as always!

I like the idea, they come in different colors and could look cool. Unfortunately it seems they won't work.

Sid,
However, even though the rubber style bands won't work, if you could find fixed size bands made of plastic - I expect that they would work just fine.

I have seen commercial rods finished off with all sorts of different types of plastic that do hold up well in the outdoor environment.

Be safe

I use the super small ones to hold guides for wrapping!
