This is quoted from the web site and is what the folks are discussing: "Klass Kote urethane clear represents the best in acrylic urethane technology. It is a hybrid polymeric blend of polyester and acrylic resins. As a protective, decorative, transparent top coat, Klass Kote Urethane Clear offers ultra violet (uv) protection, outstanding chemical & fuel resistance, flexibility, and extreme gloss retention." I have no idea how to interpret the description.
They do mention also having epoxy paint systems. As previous posts indicate, smallest size kit is a pint for about $50. It does not mention hardening time. Based on the apparent interest in non-yellowing transparent coatings for rod-building, accelerated by the use of white blanks, I will not be surprised to see an automotive type clear product marketed in smaller packages, more user friendly processes, on the market soon. Not quite on the same product, but close, is Rodgeeks. Watch out, epoxy marketers! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
