Surf rod build

This is my first time building a surf rod so I have a question or two. The blank is from rod geeks srf110mhmf2 and I am building it as a spinning rod with the microwave surf guides. No info came with these guides like they have with the smaller microwaves as far as guide placement. Has anyone built a surf rod with these guides and could get me in the ballpark as to where to place the first 3 guides?

Good afternoon James....

Because of the wide array of blank lengths, handle lengths, blank powers, reel sizes, etc, etc, we do not have an exact measurement for the MicroWave 50 guides.

That being said, I have personally tested and have worked with experts in the surf, carp and big game rod markets to come up with a starting range.

Start with these measurements, and static test the running guides. Tape the guides on and test cast / adjust as necessary.

From the lip of of your reel spool in the extended position:

Stripper Guide : 28-32"
Transition Guide : 45-48"
Last Running Guide : 55-59"

If I can help in any other way please drop me an email or a phone call..

Did you get the microwave inshore 30 or the surf/carp 50 guide kit?

I have my rod taped up and ready for test casting, I split the difference in the measurements. Now just have to find a place to test cast.
