I use Fuji guides on my casting rods, I have customer who does not like the reverse stripper guide. Since he wants a double footed stripper guide would it be ok just to use a regular double footed guide followed by the KB and then KT runners?

Most likely, yes.

Thanks Tom, myself I really like the Reverse Stripper. I have a lot of fun answering the "hey who put the guide backwards" with the guys in our bass club. I will just use a regular double footed guide. Thank you for this forum, I have learned a great deal from it.

For Fuji KR casting rods I use a size 8 KW guide as a stripper followed by a size 5.5 KW then size 4.5 or size 4 KB/KTs as runners. This works extremely well. The size 8 KW (12.3mm) is similar in height to the RV stripper (12.9mm).

Get the height of what you use to be the same as the KR. I think it might be more than an 8. But it's not going to make a really big difference whatever you use.

Before the introduction of the RV (reverse) stripper Fuji recommended, for their KR micro casting concept, using a size 10 KW (14.6 mm) as the stripper followed by the 5.5 KW and then the size 4.5 or 4 KB/KT guides as runners. This set up also works very well. The size 10 KW stripper is higher than the RV stripper, and the size 8 KW is about the same height as the 6 RV. I do not use the RV guide because it only comes in a titanium frame.

I do as Norman does, start with a #8 KW.

It was originally speced by Fuji to be a KW10. The RV6 is a similar height to the original 10.
