Hello, does anyone know where I can get some really good colored cork rings? Preferably non-rubberized cork rings. Been real disappointed with the ones I've ordered (burled I believe?). Or should I perhaps try Eva foam rings? If so where could I get some? Thanks! Re: Colored Cork

Colored cork usually does not look REAL good until some kink of clear is applied to bring out the color
Posts here have had cork said to look like it was cleared in the pictures of the seller ??? Clear the ones you have and it should look a lot better Tru - Oil is good for this It will not FEEL the same as bare But if you want better color ?? Bill - willierods.com Re: Colored Cork

I have purchased some colored fine burl cork rings from Custom Fly Grips (list to left) that I thought were very nice. I have also purchased some from Mudhole Tackle (list to left) that were also nice. I just liked the appearance of the CFG ones a hair better (it seemed as if the cork grains were a little finer) I don't know if both are supplied from the same source. I will purchase them again from both CFG and Mudhole.
