Shorter version of an IP840?

Looking for a blank having a similar action as an IP840, but in the 5'6 - 6' range. I guess I could cut a foot off the butt (a lot of waste), but wondered if something fairly similar may already exist. Building up a UL spinning rod for trout.

Many thanks, Mike

Look at the Batson RX6 SP720, or a little more power SP721

Unless you are fishing some real tight stuff, I wouldn't discount the 7 ft. blank, the fish all feel bigger, and a longer rod holds more line out of the water giving a deeper and more natural presentation, especially live bait presentations.

Thanks very much Ron and Spencer, appreciated - I'll look at those RX6 SP's Ron. I really like the 7' length myself, fun blank, this is for a stream fisherman though who is looking for one a bit shorter.

I like Victor"s choice and the REV comes in different lengths. I just built a 7' 2" for a friend throwing 1/16 oz jigs for Crappie. It is a fine blank.
