I'm wanting to locate a 4'6" UL, slow action, graphite blank. I wouldn't be against fiberglass, I just want it to be $20 or under. I will be using 4lb fluoro, and mainly in-line spinners.
I have found some 5' models but with it being slow action, I'm afraid cutting the back 6" off might effect the action? Any ideas would be great, this site is always a big help! Re: Help finding blank with certain specs

Shortening the 5 ft. blank at the butt would slow it further and decrease the power a bit. Re: Help finding blank with certain specs

Mr. Miller,
We have some models you may want to consider. Our models SP600-CG and SP661-2CG are right in the spec range you're describing. You could take a bit of the tip of either of these to get your desired length. Taking length off the tips would only further slow their actions, which I don't think is an issue based on your requested specs. Another option would be to get one of our light downrigger/trolling RX6 blanks such as the RDR70L-GB and begin trimming from one or both ends until you had the desired action and power. The RDR blanks are graphite/e glass hybrids. Both blank type can be seen in our catalog on pp. 46 & 48 respectively. I have included a link to our online catalog below. Thanks. The SP600 looks like it would work great, and I found it at getbitoutdoors.com. What's frustrating though is I can't find their shipping rates, and I'm looking to buy a decent amount of stuff. I know mudhole has free shipping over $150. I can get a PAC Bay T2 blank that has the same specs for a few more bucks. So I'm leaning towards that right now. And I haven't emailed get bit yet Re: Help finding blank with certain specs
