Can't find much about this blank. I have a St. Croix 5S66MLF - how would it compare to what I have? Also, 0.8 oz looks crazy light for a rod rated 4-10lbs - is that right? Re: Question about Rainshadow Immortal IMMWS62L Walleye Blank (Used to be XSW62L )

Marty,
I have built several rods on the Immortal Immws62L walleye blank. I built these rods to be used for walleye fishing and they work really really well when using them with jigs in the 1/16th - 1/8th oz range. When you compare this rod to the St. Croix 5s66MLF blank, you will find that the IMMWS62L blank is a blank that certainly flexes more easily, but that does not mean that it is not a wonderful blank to be used for this weight range. When these rods were used earlier this year by many folks that I had built for on your spring walleye trip, the users all commented on how physically light the rods were as well as how tough they were to be able to handle fish ranging from 2 oz Sun fish up to 10 lb Northerns. For comfortably fishing with jigs that run light, they really excel but still do a great job when catching the larger fish. p.s. I had extended all of the blanks that I used to be 6'6" long so they all were the same length as the 5S66MLF. I just finished the 7' 2" version of the Immortal walleye blanks, , and it feels like it will fish very well. Sorry I have not fished it yet. Re: Question about Rainshadow Immortal IMMWS62L Walleye Blank (Used to be XSW62L )

I built a IMMWS62MXF for a friend's dad and it was very well received. Very sweet blank. Very light and seemed to be very sensitive. Re: Question about Rainshadow Immortal IMMWS62L Walleye Blank (Used to be XSW62L )

This 62L is a keeper for light fishing, yes it is very light (as stated).
I too extended it to 6'4" and 6'6". The Immortal Walley serie (I build 62L, 62MXF and 68MXF) is very, very good. All light in hand and sensitive. Top blank at a nice prince. ________________________________________ @+ Eric [www.emfishing.fr] Re: Question about Rainshadow Immortal IMMWS62L Walleye Blank (Used to be XSW62L )

Would the 7'2" rod work for crappies? Re: Question about Rainshadow Immortal IMMWS62L Walleye Blank (Used to be XSW62L )
