Hey guys so on my next build I want to try out the Fuji PTS reel seat. Im confused as to what insert to use though. Is there one Fuji makes specifically for this? Also looking on mudhole, I see they have a item for sale that is called "Fuji PTS Low Profile Casting Seat Components." Is that the insert I need? It does not list what it means by components so I wasnt sure. Thanks! Re: What insert for Fuji PTS?

The components do not list the insert for those grips. I turn all my own from either acrylics or stabilized wood. You are some what limited limited as to bore ID when using them. Have heard of some metal and graphite spacers out there, but have never pursued them Ron Weber Re: What insert for Fuji PTS?

I have spoken with Lance at swampland about these. He can get you hooked up with what you need.

I'd like to try one of those seats. But. Glue in some sort of tube; glue in an arbor; then glue it all to the blank? Three possible failure points is what that brings to mind. Although, as Mr Weber suggests, an acrylic or stabilized wood insert would look very nice. And truly custom.
Back to the point. What were they thinking? Why not properly sized ID dimensions? I don't get it. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
