repair of clearcoat scratch

Recently acquired a beautiful Duckett rod, white in color as many of their rods are. The hookholder is horribly placed, and I was foolish enough to hang a crankbait on it. The front treble hook dug into the clearcoat and the result is a jagged scratch mark. Would someone inform as to my options insofar as repairing, filling, making go away, et cetera?
And yes, I'm neurotic about such things. Keep my rods and reels covered and protected when not in my hands, and I'm losing sleep over this.
All responses appreciated....

Mark,
Just put the rod on the dryer, and add finish in the area of the hook keeper. Essentially put on additional coat of finish in that area and let dry. You will be good to go.

Be safe

You will likely get the same answers over here as you did on Bass Resource, just more of them.

Put a coat of wrap finish over it and it will go away. End of story. Scott and DVT were not wrong!

If I understand you correctly the hook scratched through the white finish and the charcoal blank is showing through. I have had good luck touching up white Duckett blanks with thinned Testors model paint, then lightly sanding the repair to level it, and finally coating with epoxy finish.
