Dec Wrap

So I have been working on a rod for a friend's wife and he wants a decorative wrap on it. Doesn't care what it is as long as it looks good and matches colors. So far I have failed a tiger wrap and only done one other rod and it was a scrap one and the crosswraps were lopsided to say the least. I have been building for about 5 years and have never gotten around to decorative wraps.

The best step by step instructions I have seen so far on basic dec. wraps was in Tom K's book. All color photos. You might find some stuff elsewhere on the web if you look.

Do a Tiger.
Black and whatever your lightest primary color is.
Overwrap with a sacrificial thread and another of your colours.
This will be the color that will be seen as dominant.
