10'-10'6" Walleye Trolling Rod

My Father-in-law has asked me to look into building him a 10' to 10'6" eye trolling rods for pulling crankbaits on braided line. He'sd like something with a moderate action to allow for the braid. Has anyone here built a similar rod? I looked at my supplier (Get Bit Outdoors) but didn't see anything at first glance that would work well. Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Check out some of the salmon/steelhead blanks from Rainshadow there or from Ron at Schneider's Rod Shop on the left. High quality blanks with a great track record for performance and value. You might find something suitable on his closeout page at a great price. He is very good with his customer service as well as answering questions.

Check out MHX Steelhead rods.

The 10 foot mag-med might be a good choice.

See you on the water, Doug

Nate,
I have supplied tournament anglers with blanks and rods for this very application and Doug's recommendation is hands down your best option.

Todd
