Casting guides on a spinning rod?

I'm building a spinning rod for a friend, he just got a Stella 30000 and I'm building a rod to match it.
Got the seeker 70H blank Alps seat.
He wanted Titanum guides but I could not find double footed Titainum spinning guides so I got the big Titainum casting guides 40,30,20,12,10,10,8.
After doing some research it seems I'm not the 1st to do this, but I also noticed that the casting guides are wrapped on backwards.
Maybe someone could clarify.
I got about $250 invested in materials for this rod, I'd hate to mess it up.
Aloha

Your not the first guy to drink milk, what about those who first used single foot guides on a fly rod. Innovation leads the way.
Don't let the guide direction get in the way of the proper height, size and location. You can alter the frames with a pair of needle nose pliers too if you have to.

Jesse,
Forwards or backwards on a guide is in the eyes of the beholder.

Basically, wrap the guides onto the rod that pleases you and your client.

If you look at the K series spinning guides with their angled foot to minimize wind wraps on braided rod, you will find that the angle of the foot of a casting rod when placed backward on a rod with respect to convention is about the same angle.

So, one might guess that by having the slope of the guide foot away from you, as opposed to being vertical, might very well be an excellent way to wrap on the guides to minimize wind wraps with this style guide as well.

Be safe
