Barry,
A nice box, but it is rather bulky.

I would just as soon use plano tackle boxes (like the 3600 boxes with vertical dividers to make about 5 or 6 slots. Each slot will hold about 5-7 spools of thread.. The plano tackle boxes are placed into a rubber maid container. Essentially 0 wasted room , compact and quite inexpensive.
