blank substitute for Lamiglas composite crankbait blanks?

I had built a Lamiglas CCB86-4M blank for myself a couple years back and ended up selling it to a longtime customer of mine after I let him fish it a couple times. I regret it every time I want to fish a small squarebill. I was thinking I would just buy another blank that was 1 power "stiffer" and it was discontinued and sold out before I could get my paws on one. Was wondering if anyone has found a blank that is similar in action? I like the glass action while fishing crankbaits, and like the relative light weight of the graphite butt. Are any of the newer style Lami blanks similar to this or should I use something else like a Rainshadow Glass, Seeker, Mudhole or other brand's blank? Appreciate any and all input!

Jared,

I don't know anything about the blank you're talking about, but check out the RodGeeks S-glass blanks. They use a graphite composite in the butt section. Good prices too. I just received my first sc-4 blank from them and It feels real nice. This will be my first build on them. Good luck.

Thanks Scott, I'll take a look at them. Kinda looking for an excuse to build on a RodGeeks blank with a wild paint scheme to display next year at our local fishing expo. Just not sure if it'll be one of the S-glass. Does the blank you bought have a more moderate, parabolic action?

Thank you to you as well, Bob. Apparently you answered me as I was replying to Scott. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the MHX blanks. I just wasn't sure how they compared in action to that Lamiglas blank. I guess I was thinking of your S-Glass series and didn't realize you had a composite series as well. My bad!

The Seeker SBC706 has a great action to it I build one for a customer and he loves it. I would look into it, its an S-glass too.

The man who developed the Lamiglas blank now works at Mudhole, Todd Vivian.

Yep Spencer, brain lapse there. The XGlass composites are sounding like the ticket. Especially after talking with someone who has built and fished the ones I've asked about. Thanks!
