Any of you mix and match thread sizes. Just wondering since there are more options for colors and if so do you have any issues.

Madeira Polyneon comes in three sizes, though you don't have the full color selections in 60 nor in 75 as you do in 40. To your question, are you asking if the Madeira can be used in conjunction with rod wrapping thread size "A" or "D"? Size 40 Polyneon used in conjunction with rod wrapping "A" will work ok just be aware the Polyneon is slightly smaller. Using Polyneon 40 over "D" wrapping thread is done quite often in weaves and works ok. You can also use Polyneon 60 over the 40, I have yet to try a weave using the 75 over 60 or 40. Because the Madeira is smaller in diameter if you us it next to a larger rod wrapping thread you can get a very small clean trim band.

I just finished a butt wrap with 40 but would have liked to use some 60 colors. I haven't mixed the two sizes and I'm wondering if it's a good idea or not.

As I stated above if you put a wrap of the 60 side by side with the 40 it will be noticeably smaller. Do a test wrap and you will see. Beyond that have at it.
