RX6 vs. RX7 Sensitivity?

In the popping style blanks, is there a noticeable difference in sensitivity between the RX6 and RX7?

Thanks - Marc

Keep it simple - that's all I can handle!

IMO- there is a noticeable difference in:
sensitivity
crispness
response
dampening time
balance
weight

The arrangement of the graphite fibers, their density, the adhesive matrix, and the taper and weight of a blank may well influence its sensitivity.

Both are great rods. The RX-7 is a bit more sensitive and crisper. Both are outstanding value's in rod blanks. you really cant go wrong

Marc,

You will have a product with a bit more durability in the RX6 over the RX7 but the RX7 will be everything that Steve said it would be. The RX7 is by no means fragile.... I've got quite a few out there with bass guys who I believe can honestly destroy anything and they've yet to have a single failure.

My RX-7 Fly rods have endured my Alaskan fishing trips and they get abused up there. Foul hook a 10lb Red in a fast flowing river and now you have to drag it in. They are not only crisp, light and very sensitive they are also tough! I have built about a dozen RX-7 10wt fly rods for Alaska and other that a car door and a fall taken by yours truly they are all going strong!
