Sante,
I was provided a receipt for the ETEC72MH by Batson Enterprises. While I did not warp the rod in a spiral configuration, I believe the guide spacing would still work. Here is what was given to me for guide types, sizing and spacing: Tip Top = XTCPPZT05R05.5 1st = TIPFZG05 - 3.5" 2nd = TIPFZG05 - 7.25" 3rd = TIPFZG05 - 11" 4th = TIPFZG05 - 14.75" 5th = TIPFZG05 - 18.75" 6th = TIPFZG05 - 23.125" 7th = TIPFZG05 - 27.625" 8th = TIPFZG06 - 32.5" 9th= TIMXNZG08 - 37.625" 10th = TIMXNZG10 - 44.250 11th = TIMXNZG12 - 52.5 I used Fuji Torzite/ Ti guides rather than the guides indicated above. The guide spacing worked fairly well with little adjustments during static loading. For a spiral wrap I would recommend you shift the butt guide to the opposite direction of the spiral wrap, such that the inside edge of the butt guide ring in located on the zero line of the blank. That way you will eliminate the possibility of line stacking on the casting reel. I normally then place the spiral transition guides at 60 degrees, 120 degrees and 180 degrees you should be fine keeping the spacing indicated above on the transition guides; but check the line path and adjust to keep the line off of the blank. The Rainshadow ETEC72MH is a really great blank. I just wish I had one for my personal use! Tight Lines Don Campbell don@sensorfishingrods.com Edited 1 time(s). I just did a a spiral wrapped "micro" guide build on the 7'2 M eternity. Only took seven guides plus the tip. Sizes went from 6 to 5 then 4.5 for the runners. Just tape them on there and do some static testing. That's the only way to know for sure. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
