Info about a Fenwick rod

I recently picked up a Fenwick 6' spinning rod. Mod #SP721.
2pc. yellow fiberglass cork handle - with inscription- Custom built for Earl Watkins (in cursive). Question - can this be traced? Was it done at the Fenwick factory or did someone make it by getting blanks? Thanks for any info. Re: Info about a Fenwick rod

As far as I know, Fenwick did not do custom builds for a single individual. You would have had to purchase a bunch of them. This sounds like a custom rod build. If no makers name, maybe he made it for himself. Re: Info about a Fenwick rod
