EVA Dent/Crease

I have an EVA grip mounted and the butt got a crease in it. I think from the drier chuck, but that's beside the point now. My question: will gentle heat or steam bring the EVA back to shape? Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Somewhat, sometimes. It won't hurt to try it.

Mike,
When working on a rod, it is not a bad idea to take masking tape and put several wraps around the butt of the rod when using a chuck for the wrapper or dryer to help minimize this issue.

Good luck

Try submerging it in hot water for a minute. It should take it out.

If the dent is in the butt cap, I will leave the butt cap off until the very end and then put it on. I will use a plastic butt cap if I need the extra diameter to work in the dryer and then just take it off and put the final one on when done with the rod.
