Has anyone ever used Aero Marine 300 / 21 epoxy to cover carbon fiber handles or thread wraps. If so how well does it work.

I've used it, it's good. Specs are the same as Riley Rods laminating epoxy. Good pot life, no blush.

It is good for the carbon fiber covering, not so good for wraps, as it is not as flexible as wrap epoxy, and has a tendency to yellow more.

That's the brand I use, been using it for about 3 years now and works good for me. Good pot life and a thin consistency for a good wet-out. I do a final coat with Diamond Finish Clear

Your best top coat on carbon handles will be a urethane, not an epoxy.

I am interested in trying this Diamond Finish. How do you get the finish out of the can? Meaning once you open it how do you deal with the product left in the can setting up? There has been all kinds of post on here about other products setting up in the bottle. I just tried to use a brand new bottle of Lumiseal and it already had a hard layer on top. I had to punch through it to pour some out.

I buy the quart cans of Diamond Finish Clear and then pour that into two pint size cans.Before I fill up my pint cans, I drill a hole in it down near the bottom and run a screw in it. Then when I'm ready for some finish, i take out the screw and pour some out. ( not leaning the can back to let air into the screw hole ) I think it is volume 15 #1 in Rodmaker that has the details. I used to use Lumiseal, really liked it too, but it always dried up on me, even in the refrigerator. Even ordered some that was like a rock when i got it. The paint cans and Diamond Finish Clear was a game changer, for me anyways.

The can trick works for Lumiseal as well.
