Low frame K guide question

I'm looking to build my own heavy popping rod and wanted to try K frames. I was looking at a K guide train of 40L then 25, 16, then 12s.
How does this sound compared to a more traditional 40, 30, 20, 16, 12s route?

A three guide reduction train would be very common nowadays. Start with a 30 stripper and go from there. Many, many rods are being built that way.

30-16-12 then sz 8 or 10 runners.

I should have mentioned when I stated heavy, I'm talking about 100lb braid.
Would the increased reduction still work?

don't go for a 30 stripper, its too small.

start with 40 and make it a high frame and don't go any smaller than 16's. 12's are too small for these rods and knots will catch.

ive worked with a few really talented GT fisherman to refine my rods and a large stripper and large running guide/tip is a must.
