Is there a DVD that teaches one how to do cross wraps. Chevrons, Diamonds etc.I just bought one.The guy was fantastic on doing cross wraps, but he sucked on teaching.I think Artie Hebert had a dvd(at one time)but I cannot find it anywhere. If some has one and would be willing to sell it, I would appreciate letting me know.

Tom Kirkman's book, Rod Building Guide, probably has the best illustrated instructions on basic cross wraps ever done. Color photos, step by step. From there Billy Vivona has a book with more intricate wraps, assuming you have the basics done. Dale Clemens book on Custom Rod Thread Art is a favorite but assumes you know how to do the wraps and gives you patterns to try.

People can argue over whether a book or a DVD is better but for me a book allows you to study at your own pace. I guess it also depends on who the author or presenter is. Like you said, some people teach better than others.
