Hello All.
I have an ATC AMMBC784 and am trying to decide what label color to use, I have a K-Sun 270 and was wandering if someone with color sense could advise me as to witch color would look best on this green blank. Black on Clear, Silver on Clear, Black on Green, etc-etc-etc... What do you think? I would use the 1/2" or 3/4" Thanks for your time and assistance. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: What Label Color?

Robert,
Its all personal preference, but on green rods I like to do gold lettering. If you can do gold on clear, I think that would look sharp. Take care, Chris Re: What Label Color?

Hello John.
The labels in question are used to show the rods statistics: blank manufacturer, part number of blank, length, line weight, casting weight, tip size, butt size, or anything else you want listed on the rod. You make them up on a label printer (as I said I have a K-Sun 270) and print them on label stock (K-Sun calls them "Supply Cartridges" that are loaded with printable tape) and then you adhere them to the rod (a lot of people put a thin coat of epoxy on the rod before adhering the label to the blank), and then most of the time it is epoxied over to protect it from the elements. Hope that helps. Tight Wraps. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: What Label Color?

Orange looks very good with green. The right shade on a green blank will look very classy.
If the rod is already done you may be able to match the label color to one of the trim colors. Or do the background of the label in a neutral color and the text in orange. I have never had much luck in matching label colors to blank colors, so I choose colors that look good (like black, graphite) but I don't try to match the blank. Re: What Label Color?

Hello Michael.
Thanks Michael. As I said I use the K-Sun 270 label maker the only orange they have is Black writing on orange background in sizes 1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1-1/2" no orange at all in the 1/4" or 3/8" while the 3/4" has it in a fluorescent but not a standard orange. I am going to look at both the gold on clear & the black on orange. Anyone else? Thanks to all. Tight Wraps & Bent Rods. Bob, New Bern, NC. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
