Fugi BLNAG Concept guide size recommendations

The feedback and information shared by the users on the site is really great. I am just getting started building rods (this is my first try) so I figured it would be better to pole the community here than try to go with the standard set of instructions available elsewhere. I am looking for recommendations on guide sizes for my first build (details below). I have decided to go with the Fugi BLNAG guides because they have performed and held up well on some of other rods, but I am open to recommendations. I am mostly interested in recommendations on the sizes and number of guides to use. I am familiar with the static load testing but just wanted to get some general opinions. I hope to do it right the first time so I have no regrets on any of the initial choices made on the set up.

Rod blank - MHX MB843 / 7' MH, 10-17lb, 1/4 - 3/4
Reel - BB1 Pro
Line - 30lb to 50lb Powerpro of Suffix braid with 14/lb flouro leader

Thanks,
Jim

My basic bass rod uses double foot 6, sigle foot KB/KT 4.5.......... Depending on what you use for a connecting knot, you may be more comfortable stepping up to 5 or 5.5 runners & top

Hi Jim,

Next time you order components order a cheap set of guides, #20-16-12-10-10-10-10-10-8-8-8-8-6-6. Now you will have a Static Deflection guide kit. This will enable you to do the Static Deflection and then know exactly which guides and how many of each. This is for a casting rod. You can order a set for spinning or any other type of rods.
