Carbon Fiber Tube Handle Weight

Is a woven carbon fiber handle lighter or heavier than a cork handle of the same length?

I'm assuming you mean mounted to a rod not the weight of the raw materials unmounted? I make this distinction because the mounted weight of the tube can vary a lot depending on how it is mounted.

The wall thickness of the tube also determines how much it will weigh.

I use tubing that is both lighter and heavier then cork,. Depending on its wall thickness as Mr. Kirkman mentioned.

Yeah, I should have figured not all tubes are the same. I ordered the 10" woven tubing from getbit. Has anybody used these?

The I've weighed in the past have weighed more. And after you add arbor it's even more. At last that is my experience but there are very lighweight carbon fiber tubes - I just don't know where to find them....

I'm not sure. It didn't say on the package or on the tube when I got it. Either way its fine. I'm almost done with my build. Looks really cool, and it definitely is a good material for grips. I barely have to grip it to keep it in my hand.
