What can you tell me about this blank?
The Model number appears to be 4100-4-ZX Any CCS measurements available? I've had it around for a while and am trying to decide what to do with it. I'm not a nymph fisherman.. Used a factory rod for chironomids on Kamloops trout, good casting performance with a 4 wt. line, handles 5 just fine, tippet friendly, med fast would be my guess, due to the smoothness of the casting stroke. Nothing like the XP rods it is supposed to replace IMO, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 03/04/2015 03:29PM by Spencer Phipps. I'm assuming this model is too floppy (technically speaking) to make a UL spinning rod out of the blank.
Any opinions? Re: Sage Z Axis fly blank 10' 4 wt 4 piece

You should be able to find a spinning or casting blank at a better price then a fly blank Bill - willierods.com Re: Sage Z Axis fly blank 10' 4 wt 4 piece

Makes sense, gents - I'll put it up for sale and possibly give those Eternity 2 blanks a try!

You can build it and see if you can get at least the price of the parts Check E Bay and see what they are going for Bill - willierods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
