Has anyone tried the new CRB RBS Handwrapper that Muddle is selling. What do you think of it? Let me know.

I have one, I like it. I moved up to a power wrapper around Christmas time but I still use the CRB wrapper for small stuff. Re: CRB Hand Wrapper

Michael. A friend of mine just went to a Mudhole Rod building class at which he received the new CRB wrapper. He brought it over for me to see and I have to say I was impressed. It is well made very easy to use and has the ability to be added on too.
If you are looking for a good hand wrapper look no further. Tom Tom's Customs Rods Re: CRB Hand Wrapper

According to the latest catalog, there is now a base plate and there will soon be a drive motor.
There are also other things like tool trays, all interchangeable and fully compatible. In the past, I have packed my Alp's lathe and moved it, every six months, when I do the Snowbird thing. I'm looking at acquiring one of these winders to leave at my summer place. I don't do much rod work during the fishing season. Re: CRB Hand Wrapper

Hello Folks, Thank you for your comments. I'm probably going to get one. I have always used my home-made hand wrappers, but I really want to have a more elegant and efficient thread carriage.

I am interested in this system as well. How do you all think the felt will hold up if using the optional powerhead?
It seems sililar to the Flex Coat system, anyone have expiriance using the Flex Coat for a while? How have the felt lined V's worked with the power wrapper? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
