Left over epoxy

I reuse the little plastic mixing cups when mixing up new batches. Seems like there ought to be a use for the hardened epoxy. Too soft for making grips from, but are there any good ideas out there?

If you pour it out onto something for bubble escape, leave some in the bottom of the cup. Add a little pigment to it,ie; Testors paint or whatever, and mix it up. Once it has hardened completely, you can pop it out of the cup and use it for a winding check. Just drill it cleanly and slide it on. The nice thing is it doesn't provide a shear point on parabolic blanks like a metal winding check could.
Just a thought...

the bottom of the cup may be too small but maybe rings in handles Keep one cup and put any excess from other wraps into it the top should be large and better for rings

I purchased small palettes to hold paint from an art store. I tint the epoxy and thn pour it into the holders. Once they set up I pop them out and they make a great little end cap for a carbon fiber grip. You can Color match it to the grip.

I save and pour my extra epoxy into a pharmacy pill bottle. I have done all sorts of things with them over the years. Marbled, inlayed fly, plain colored powder coats, etc. And once its long enough I simple drill the center put on mandrel and turn down to reel seat inserts, butt caps on what ever.

I use it to coat the heads on my clousers, surf candy and deceiver flies. I like the other suggestions. Might try done if them. MH
