I found the guides in the photo linked below today, and really don't expect I'll ever need them. If there is someone out there who is rebuilding rods to a previous era, and could use them, let me know. I don't even remember what they came off, but it has to be a long time ago.

Forgot to mention, the largest guide is about 1 inch OD, the smallest about 5 1/2 16ths. Re: Found some old spin guides today

Those look to be Mildrum Spinning guides. Re: Found some old spin guides today

I think you are right, Randolph, but I probably bought them under the name of the company that offered "The Finest Procurable Quality." Anyone remember that company? Re: Found some old spin guides today

I will check, but I think that was just an advertising slogan for the company. Re: Found some old spin guides today

Herter's, Waseca, Minnesota. That's where I bought a boatload of outdoor stuff back in the 50's and 60's. Always "Finest Procurable Quality." Re: Found some old spin guides today

I have three packs of tips collecting dust somewhere that look the same and are Mildrum. I would part with them also. Gabe Neal Neal's Custom Rods Re: Found some old spin guides today

I bought the first 3 rod blanks that I ever built from Herters when they still had a store here in WA State. 44 years ago. They were Featherweight Rawhide blanks, and they were just as tough and strong as rawhide. A nice semi-translucent burgundy color. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
